Dr. Bonaventure Ahaisibwe is the Global Health Service Partnership Coordinator for Peace Corps Uganda. Prior to that, he was working on a five-year USAID-funded health system strengthening project implemented by University Research Co. LLc in sixteen hospitals in Uganda. He also worked with the Ministry of Health and GIZ/UNHCR partnership in the capacities of Medical officer and Health and Nutrition Coordinator. He is a mentor and national trainer for the Ministry of Health on several HIV related in service training programs. His academic background is in Medicine and Public Health attained from Makerere University and University of Manchester. At Peace Corps, he also plays the role of back up Peace Corps medical officer and sexual assault and response liaison. He was born in Mbarara district, southwestern Uganda.
