She is a Ugandan politician, educator and former military officer (Retired Major). She is the Minister of Education and Sports and the elected Woman Member of Parliament for the Katakwi District. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Linguistics, obtained in 1997, from Makerere University. She holds two Master’s degrees: Master of Arts in International Relations & Diplomacy, from Makerere University (2008) and Master’s in Public Administration and Management (2009), from Uganda Management Institute. She also holds a Diploma in Public Administration and Management (2008) from Uganda Management Institute. Over the years, she has been employed in various capacities including: as a teacher at Katakwi High School in the town of Katakwi, Katakwi District, Eastern Uganda and as an Instructor at Uganda Urban Warfare Training School, Singo, Nakaseke District, Central Uganda. In 2001, she joined politics and was elected as the woman Member of Parliament for Katakwi District. She was re-elected in 2006 and was appointed the State Minister for Youth and Children Affairs.
