The NEPI Webinar series is divided into 2 parts. Please click the links below to watch the recorded webinars that have already taken place. The target audience for this webinar series is faculty or tutors who design curricula, staff who work with faulty and tutors to design curricula, or staff who design in-service/continuing education programs.

Part 1

Purpose: To provide faculty and staff with a practical step by step approach to design/redesign curricula regardless of faculty's/staff's disciplinary background, content expertise, and instructional setting

Session 1: An Introduction to Curriculum Design Using a Backward Approach
                Date: November 15, 2012
Session 2: Step 1: Identifying Desired Results: What should students know, understand, and be able to do?
                Date: December 6, 2012
Session 3: Sept 2: Determining Acceptable Evidence: How will we know if students have achieved the desired results and met standards?
                Date: January 10, 2013
Session 4: Step 3: Planning Learning Experiences and Instruction: What activities will equip students with the needed knowledge and skills?
                Date: February 7, 2013
Session 5: Designing Lesson Plans Using a Backward Design Approach
