IT Infrastructure Expansion and eLearning Project at CHS is Underway
MEPI Ethiopia program goals were designed anticipating a full range of modern information communication technology will be in place to support and promote self learning, create learning opportunities for large numbers of students and be suitable also for any form of education. The MEPI program has also recognized that its strategic objectives can hardly be met without extensive use of ICTs to support the teaching/learning and research activities of the CHS. In line with this premise, MEPI Ethiopia has been working to improve the ICT infrastructure at AAU-CHS as well as introduce eLearning and eLibrary platforms in the teaching/learning process. One other area that MEPI identified as a bottleneck in the teaching learning process was the availability of computing facilities and services to the students and instructors.
