"The paper focuses on globalization from the perspective of “information access, transfer, exchange and use”. With the advancement in information and communication technology (ICT), information now flows more easily and quickly, regardless of barriers of country boarders, time and distance. The paper shows that the 21st Century African medical Library user is slowly but steadily complimenting the traditional way of accessing and sharing library resources in print format, with a more advanced electronic way, which is proving to be more efficient, but with a lot of challenges to a developing continent. Participants in this study were medical students, academic staff and librarians from three selected schools in Uganda. The preliminary findings indicate inadequate funding as the underlying cause of the challenges faced by Uganda medical libraries."
